Mitsubishi to Enter Korean Market by the end of 2008

Following in the footsteps of Nissan (click here for details), Mitsubishi will enter the South Korean market by the end of 2008. According to a report in the Nikkei newspaper, the Japanese carmaker plans to sell initially five models mainly in Seoul and other major cities through a local dealership set up in collaboration with South Korea's Daewoo Motors.

This catchy print ad for the recently facelifted Mercedes-Benz SL Roadster was created by the Brazilian advertising agency, Ponto de Criacao. The caption reads: “Men talk about women, sports and cars. Women talk about men inside sports cars”. Playful and witty it may be, but on the other hand, isn’t it like saying that the SL is the ultimate driving machine for an incapable and totally insecure male?

Toyota with Nintendo Style Valve Cover

Here’s a mod that you might not be able to show off in a regular basis, but it will definitely win you plenty of kudos once you pop up the hood. The owner of this supped up Toyota created a valve cover that imitates the looks of the original Nintendo Entertainment System or NES for short. “Car Of The Year 2009” Initial Candidates Announced

The organizing committee of the European “Car of Year 2009” has announced the initial candidates for the prestigious award that was won last year by the highly-successful Fiat 500. Although you might see a larger list on other websites, the official listing from the folks at COTY consists of 25 models.

However, the contenders could be more than 35 by the end of September, which is the final date for this year’s competition. Cars that might be added in this year’s COTY could include the Ford Fiesta, BMW 7-Series, Renault Megane, Alfa Romeo Mito and Opel Insignia. Our guess (from the current nominees)? We’d bet on the Mazda6 and the Seat Ibiza.
