The 2010 Paris Motor Show, Infiniti IPL G Convertible Concept shares many of the IPL G Coupé’s enhancements. The concept car offers sports suspension and sports exhaust as well as power boost to 338 PS. The IPL G Cabrio Concept also introduces a new heights cabin inlays inspired by Japanese craftsmanship and unique interior trim finishers.
The 2012 Veloster Hyundai is showing at the Detroit auto show is the result of the company asking itself the question, “Why can’t we have two coupes?” The rear-wheel-drive Genesis coupe does leave room in the lineup for a playful front-drive model targeting the likes of the Mini Cooper and Scion tC. That slot in the lineup is now filled by a compact five-seat hatchback that looks like a Honda CR-Z with a glandular problem.
The H3’s standard underbody protection has been augmented with additional custom shielding and a HUMMER Genuine Accessory brushguard and rocker protection provide the Canyon Metallic exterior paint with defense against the elements. Mounted atop the H3 is a Gobi Ranger roof basket to increase cargo carrying capacity for long overland journeys. The second-generation CLS, which goes on sale here early next summer as a 2012 model, isn’t as pretty as the first one. The new body is a mixture of unimpeachable proportions and jarring design details. The overall envelope is elegant, but Mercedes embroiders it with brash details such as aggressive air scoops around the front bumper and sharp creases along the flanks.
